WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – Police responded to a 911 call about a woman who accidentally shot herself in the breast early Saturday morning.
Officers arrived at the home on Carolina Avenue just before 3:30 a.m.
They said a woman was watching TV in the living room, when she accidentally knocked a gun off the table and it went off when it hit the floor.
She noticed a hole in her breast and told a man in the room with her that she had been shot. The woman went upstairs to lie down while he called the police.
When officers arrived, she told them she was shot in the heart. They observed a bullet hole, but said it was not bleeding.
The woman was taken to Trumbull Memorial Hospital for treatment.
