CAMPBELL, Ohio (WYTV) – Saturday was a gorgeous day for people in Campbell to show off their patriotic spirit during the holiday weekend.
Over 150 vehicles participated in the one mile parade Saturday morning near Campbell City Hall.
The event was a hit as it drew the community closer together before Independence Day on Monday.
Campbell has not had a parade like this in years, but the community is backing the idea of having more events like this.
“We haven’t had a parade in plenty of years, and with the new administration in and the Mayor is trying to get the community together and do a lot of events and get us all together, and he’s doing it all free,” said Campbell City Council President George Levendis.
Following the parade, the city sponsored a picnic at the bandstand inside of Roosevelt Park.
