Jury indicts Youngstown man accused of beating girlfriend in May

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A man accused of beating his girlfriend and biting her hand so hard that it broke a bone was indicted by a grand jury.

William Syrette, 28, was indicted on a felonious assault charge related to the incident in May.

His girlfriend told police that Syrette was intoxicated when he attacked her, according to a police report.

Youngstown Police said Syrette slammed a door, threw her to the ground and beat her head against the floor.
