YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A man accused of beating his great-grandfather to death will not stand trial anytime soon.
On Monday, a judge ruled that Julius Williams is not competent to stand trial.
Williams is accused of murdering 87-year-old William Cox with a hammer in March.
Williams was recently evaluated and counselors determined Williams couldn’t understand the case against him. The judge agreed.
For now, Williams will be placed in an in-patient mental health facility to see if he can eventually be deemed competent again.
