YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Processed sugar, one of the most common ingredients in the favorite foods of many. While it may make things taste better, it is not your friend.
There are two foods in the average diet that are extremely addictive, processed sugar being the most and white flour coming in second.
The statistics about these addictions are shocking. The average adult in the United States consumes over 150 pounds of sugar and 146 pounds of white flour every year. That’s nearly 300 pounds a year, or roughly about a pound of sugar and white flour per day.
