YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A man has been arrested, wanted in connection to a shooting on Rush Boulevard on July 5.
Investigators say Chauncey Chandler shot 25-year-old Jessie Harding, who was found lying on a sidewalk with gunshot wounds to the chest. Harding suffered critical injuries as a result and remains at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Police said Chandler and Harding had been arguing earlier at a tavern on the city’s south side. They said Chandler then followed Harding outside and shot him several times.
Chandler was arrested by U.S. Marshals at an East Philadelphia Avenue home on Wednesday morning. He is charged with felonious assault and is scheduled to appear in court later this week.
