MCDONALD, Ohio (WYTV) – A Warren man, who witnesses said was high on cocaine and crack, struck a woman with a car after driving through a garage, according to police.

Police were called to a home on Iowa Avenue in McDonald around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. The caller told police that Joshua Sanfrey struck her with his girlfriend’s car after backing into the garage and causing damage.

She said her friend bad been fighting with her boyfriend, Sanfrey, who had been throwing glass and breaking items in the home earlier that day.

She told police that Sanfrey later started hallucinating, saying there were ninjas in the street, according to a police report. Sanfrey told the two women that he had used crack and cocaine and needed more liquor, the report said.

While Sanfrey was trying to drive away after damaging the garage with the car, another man tried to pull Sanfrey out of the vehicle. The woman said he then got into a physical fight with the man before leaving.

Sanfrey was arrested at 3:20 a.m. after returning to the home. He was found hiding in the backyard of a home nearby.

He was charged with felonious assault and criminal trespass and taken to Trumbull County Jail.
