Liberty Police seeking identity of Cash for Gold robber

The robbery occurred at 11:43 a.m. Saturday at the Belmont Avenue store

The Liberty Police Department is looking for information on a man who robbed Cash for Gold on Belmont Avenue.

LIBERTY, Ohio (WYTV) – The Liberty Police Department is looking for information on a man who robbed Cash for Gold on Belmont Avenue.

The robbery occurred at 11:43 a.m. Saturday. A witness told police that she was approached by the robber earlier in the day when he asked about bringing in some jewelry for her to look at. He returned 15 minutes later, pulling up his shirt to reveal a firearm.

The man demanded money and left the store, going south on State Route 193.

Police said the man was wearing a red baseball cap, white shirt and blue jeans. He was described as Caucasian, approximately 5’4″ tall and 150 pounds. The witness told police he was “dirty looking” and was wearing medical tape wrapped around his left arm and neck, fashioned into a makeshift sling.
