WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – A Warren man was jailed Saturday during an investigation of a shooting in the city.

Police were called out to a home on W. Market Street. They said a shooting was reported there, and blood was found on the front porch of the home and on the back of a chair on the porch.

Officers said people in the home were uncooperative, including a man who appeared to be injured.

During the investigation, police said 37-year-old Mario Patterson tried chasing one of the men at the scene who he said shot his brother. Police said Patterson ignored an officer’s commands to stop and tried to throw a punch, nearly striking an officer.

He was charged with obstruction and resisting arrest.

Another man was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police did not say who was responsible for the shooting or whether anyone else had been charged.
