LEAVITTSBURG, Ohio (WYTV) – Expectations are sky-high for LaBrae football this season. The Vikings made it to Week 12 last year and won their first playoff game since 1983.

A dynamic senior class is gone, but there’s still no shortage of play-makers for a team ready to make their own mark this season.

Head coach John Armeni is back for a fourth season with the Vikings after three winning seasons.

11 starters return from a year ago led by quarterback Carlton Brown. He tossed 13 touchdowns for over 13-hundred years last year. He’ll have a couple of big targets to work with including four-year starter Tariq Drake, an OU commit, with a lot of downfield speed. Senior J.T. Wolke is another guy to keep your eye on as someone who can set the tone on both sides of the ball. The Vikings seem poised to build on a strong 2015 campaign.

The Vikings will compete in the All-American Conference Blue Tier again this year. They went 5-1 in the division last year with their only loss coming to Brookfield. They host the Warriors in Week 8 this season before closing out the season with two road games against Girard and Jefferson.
