BOARDMAN, Ohio (WYTV) – U.S. News & World Report rated St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman among some of the best facilities in the region.
The hospital received high performing scores for its COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), heart failure, hip replacement and knee replacement procedures.
It is also ranked #22 out of over 200 hospitals in the state.
Some other area hospitals receiving high scores are Northside Medical Center, Sharon Regional, St. Elizabeth Youngstown, St. Joseph Warren and Trumbull Memorial.
All of them ranked as high performing for heart failure procedures. St. Elizabeth Youngstown and St. Joseph Warren also received high performing scores for COPD.
The scores are based on a number of factors, including patient safety and nurse staffing.
