Trumbull Co. Sheriff: Drugs found in greeting card mailed to inmate

The suspected suboxone was discovered during a check of inmate mail

WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – The Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office is trying to determine who mailed suspected drugs to an inmate at the Trumbull County Jail.

The drugs, believed to be suboxone, were discovered during a check of inmate mail on Tuesday. Investigators said they were hidden inside a paper insert in a greeting card. report-photo-3

The Sheriff’s Office said the card was mailed from a woman, but officers are not sure that she mailed the card. They’re investigating a few suspects.

So far, no arrests have been made.
