YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Veterinarians in Akron determined that Bubbles, the dog rescued by Animal Charity in Youngstown, lost his tongue through some sort of trauma.
According to a Facebook post on Animal Charity’s page, a soft tissue specialist confirmed that the dog’s injuries to its tongue and lip are from a previous trauma.
Animal Charity also said that his heart worm condition is treatable.
When Animal Charity realized Bubbles didn’t have a tongue, they thought it may have been cut out but weren’t sure. The dog went to Akron Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital for a second opinion.
The organization is looking to place Bubbles with a foster family. Adoption information can be found on the Animal Charity of Ohio website.
