Girard man waives preliminary hearing on charges of shooting into home

The case will be bound over to Trumbull County Court of Common Pleas

GIRARD, Ohio (WYTV) – The Girard man accused of firing a gun inside his home and shooting through his neighbor’s house appeared in court Wednesday.

Elmer Gordon is charged with improperly discharging a firearm into a habitation and having weapons while intoxicated. No one was injured during the shooting last Tuesday, but police said several bullet holes were found in the neighbor’s home. They confiscated five rifles, two handguns and ammunition from Gordon’s home.

Wednesday, Gordon waived a preliminary hearing in Girard Municipal Court. His case will be bound over to Trumbull County Court of Common Pleas.
