WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – Trumbull County prosecutors say they are close to entering a plea deal with one of five men arrested during a traffic stop on the Ohio Turnpike last year.

Said Abu appeared before Trumbull County Court of Common Pleas Judge Wyatt McKay on Wednesday. Abu was arrested in November with four other men after police reported finding fake credit cards and a machine to make them in the car.

The men were born in Somalia and are American citizens living in the Columbus area.

Abu is charged with forgery, receiving stolen property, complicity to identity fraud and possessing criminal tools. He is scheduled to appear in court again on September 7.
