LISBON, Ohio (WYTV) – Lisbon posted one of the best offenses in the area last year, averaging over 38 points-per-game on their way to a 9-1 regular season.

The Blue Devils were bounced in the first round, however, and graduated their four-year starting quarterback.

Jim Tsilimos is in his 24th season as a head coach and welcomes back six starter on both sides of the ball.

New look at quarterback with Josh Liberati gone, as Colin Sweeney switches from receiver to play caller.

They also welcome back leading rusher Jason Thompson, who rushed for over 1,100 yards and 14 touchdowns last season.

Up front, Bailey McCollough and Jake Liberati paving the way for Thompson and Sweeney on the offensive line.

Lisbon should have a solid group of starters, but need to develop depth as the season progresses to replicate last year’s success.

The Blue Devils open ITCL White-Tier play in Week 6 with back-to-back road games at Wellsville and Southern. They have two of their last three at home as they welcome Columbiana and Leetonia before closing the season out at Crestview.
