WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – A local organization helped kids prepare for school by giving them a bookbag filled with supplies they’ll need for class.
The Warren Family Mission teamed up with Novellis Corporation to provide bookbags to families who can’t afford them.
Families had to sign up and show proof of need in order to get a ticket to go inside. There was a line wrapped around the building even before the event started.
The bookbags were designed to fit the students’ needs.
“Different age groups, different bookbags have different items in it. As far as Warren City Schools, they provided a list, which they thought would be more beneficial that the students had,” said Dominic Mararri with the Mission.
The Warren Family Mission passed out over 450 bookbags at Tuesday’s event.
