BERLIN CENTER, Ohio (WYTV) – The Blue Devils are no stranger to the playoffs as they’ve made it eight years in a row.

Last season may have been one of their more impressive feats as they rolled off seven straight wins to end the regular season, before being blown out in the first round of the playoffs.

Head coach Andy Hake is back for an 8th season with an 89-percent winning mark in his previous seven.

Hake has a very young team this season with just five seniors out of 50 players.

Senior Wyatt Larimer is the clear leader of the offense after going for 21 touchdowns last year. There is also a good chance that QB will not be his only position this year as Junior Dom Velasquez will give Larimer room to work with as a back-up.

Kade Hillis is a big target on the outside and will be joined in the backfield by running back Austin Siefert.

The defense returns four starters including two-way Lineman Cody Hilles paving the way up front.

The Blue Devils will compete in the ITCL Blue-Tier, where they went 5-0 in the division last year while winning their 4th Conference title in the past 5 seasons. A tough start to the season for the Devils before the second half, which is highlighted by home games against rival McDonald and Jackson-Milton.
