YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Many voters in the area will be asked to pass new taxes this November.

Four different municipalities in Mahoning County are asking for help via property taxes.

Austintown Township is looking for more funds for police and roads, and Berlin Township is trying to get new road money as well.

Both the City of Canfield and Village of New Middletown are asking voters for new money for the police.

In Columbiana County, there will be eight different tax increases on the ballot.

The most significant is a new income tax in East Liverpool for the general fund.

New property taxes would pay for roads in Elkrun and Saint Clair Townships, and Lisbon Schools want to charge an income tax to their taxpayers.

Liverpool Township is also asking for a property tax increase to pay for a new township administration building.
