Ohio State Patrol confirms fatal car accident in Braceville

Police said alcohol use is unknown at this time, as the crash remains under investigation

BRACEVILLE TWP., Ohio (WYTV) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed a fatal car accident on State Route 534 in Braceville Township in Trumbull County.

Troopers from the Warren Post of the OSHP arrived to the scene of the one vehicle crash around 7:50 p.m. Saturday night, near mile Post 7.

According to an OSHP press release, the car was a 1999 Chevrolet Corvette driven by Crystal Adamson, 52, of Windham, Ohio, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The car was traveling southbound on State Route 534 and attempted to overtake another vehicle in a “no passing” zone. Oncoming traffic was approaching northbound which caused the car to lose control and travel off the east side of the roadway.

The car struck a utility pole and a tree, and ejected Adamson, who was not wearing a seat belt, according to the press release.

Police said alcohol use is unknown at this time, as the crash remains under investigation.
