SOUTHINGTON, Ohio (WYTV) – The Wildcats are coming off a three-win season and return much of the same team.
Head coach Bill Bohren is back on the sidelines for his 50th year as a high school coach and his second with the Wildcats.
He brings a wealth of knowledge to a program that’s hoping to be on the rise.
Numbers are up for the Wildcats with 35 kids out and 14 letterman returning.
The offense is led by a strong offensive line that has nearly everyone back. They’ll pave the way for Senior Christian Romigh in the backfield.
The Quarterback spot is still up for grabs with three guys competing for playing time.
The defense should also be improved after allowing 23 points-per-game last season.
The Wildcats will try to stay competitive in a tough Northeastern Athletic Conference, where they went 0-4 in league last season. They have a big game right off the bat against Jackon-Milton. They kick off conference play in Week 5 against Grand Valley and round the season out on the road against Windham and St. John’s.
