2016 Warren JFK Football Preview

Warren JFK Eagles High School Football

Warren, OH (WYTV) – Warren JFK had the best turnaround in Ohio last season in Division 7 football. After back-to-back 2-8 seasons, the Eagles rattled off 11 wins and made it all the way to the Regional Championship. This year’s team could be even better, with nearly every starter back on both sides of the ball.

Head coach Jeff Bayuk has done a great job of turning this program around. He returns 20 starters from last season…9 on offense, and all 11 on defense. Of course, that involves a lot of two-way players, but the experience is there. Senior receiver Jacob Coates is the leader of the offense as one of the most dynamic playmakers in all of the Valley.

The QB spot is still up for grabs…but senior Ryan Lee is the front-runner there. Classmate Chris Urchick leads a solid line up front. Evan Boyd and Ross Nocera are two other names to keep your eye on this season.

The Eagles will look to defend their North Coast League Title from last season. They went a perfect 5-0 in the White Division.
