Convicted sex offender appears in court on new rape charges

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A convicted sex offender that was set to be released from prison is now facing 20 counts of rape.

Tshombe Miller, 33, was in court Tuesday morning for his arraignment. He was indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury last month.

Miller pleaded not guilty to the charges and was appointed an attorney.

Prosecutors say Miller raped two people and that the assaults were ongoing over a period of time.

He was convicted of gross sexual imposition in a different case and was scheduled to be released from prison after serving one year.
