YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – An equipment failure is being blamed for a power outage Tuesday that left nearly 2,000 customers without power in Mahoning and Trumbull counties.

According to Ohio Edison Spokesperson Mark Durbin, the outage was caused by an equipment failure. Crews replaced the damaged component, and power was restored by 9:40 a.m. Tuesday.

The outage was reported early Tuesday morning.
