WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – Warren City Schools held a back-to-school celebration downtown Wednesday, hoping to get students excited for the beginning of the school year.

All of the schools were there with their administrations and teachers to greet new and returning students.

Warren G. Harding High School Principal Dante Capers said it’s a great way for the community to get behind the schools as well.

“As educators, we’re always excited about the start of the school year,” Capers said. “It’s a time of renewal. It’s a time of excitement. It’s a time of new beginnings, so it’s wonderful to see that same excitement merit throughout our community.”

The schools all had games and raffles set up to win prizes. The high school bands and sports teams also had performances.
