Austintown woman charged with setting fire to Youngstown home

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – An Austintown woman has been charged with setting a Youngstown home on fire.

Alisha Bowers, 39, was indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury on two counts of aggravated arson charges. The indictment said Bowers set fire to an occupied home, located at 1328 East High Avenue.

Youngstown’s arson investigator said Bowers owns the home.

The indictment said the fire on April 16 created a “substantial risk of serious physical harm” to Lt. Marilyn Nadal, of the Youngstown Fire Department.
