YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A grand jury indicted a man accused of assaulting a Youngstown police officer during a traffic stop in July.
Arnold Shiflett, II is charged with assault, obstructing official business and resisting arrest.
Police said an officer pulled Shiflett over for traffic violations on the corner of Connecticut and North Dunlap avenues.
They said he lied about his identity and tried to run away. Shiflett struggled with the officer and punched him in the face, according to police.
The officer was able to gain control over Shiflett and arrest him.
