Troopers intercept semi heading wrong way on I-680 in Youngstown

Youngstown police officers were called out to direct traffic

A tractor trailer was stopped on I-680 for traveling in the wrong direction.


YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – The driver of a tractor-trailer was pulled over Friday on Interstate 680 as he was traveling in the wrong direction.

Hector Ortiz, 34, of Chicago, Illinois, was heading south about 4:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the interstate between Meridian Road and Route 711.

Traffic was briefly tied up as troopers pulled the truck over and reduced traffic to one lane.

Youngstown police officers were called out to direct traffic.

Ortiz was cited for traveling the wrong way on a roadway.
