Youngstown man indicted on charges related to Rush Blvd. shooting

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A Youngstown man has been indicted on charges related to a shooting on Rush Boulevard on July 5.

Investigators say Chauncey Chandler shot 25-year-old Jesse Harden, who was found lying on a sidewalk with gunshot wounds to the chest. Harden suffered critical injuries as a result and remains at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Police said Chandler and Harden had been arguing earlier at a tavern on the city’s south side. They said Chandler then followed Harden outside and shot him several times.

Chandler is charged with two counts of felonious assault with fire specifications.
