Motorcycle driver killed in New Castle crash

The accident happened about 7:45 a.m. at the intersection of W. Washington St. and N. Greenwood Avenue

One person was killed in a motorcycle accident in New Castle, Pa.

NEW CASTLE, Pa. (WYTV) – The driver of a motorcycle died Friday morning after colliding with another vehicle in New Castle.

The accident happened about 7:45 a.m. at the intersection of W. Washington St. and N. Greenwood Avenue.

According to police, 39-year-old Charles Emery III was driving a motorcycle westbound on W. Washington Ave. when a 21-year-old female driver turned onto W. Washington Ave. from Greenwood Ave. into the path of the motorcycle.

Emery was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed in the area as crews worked to clear the accident.

Police say the investigation is still ongoing.
