Mooney dominates Cleveland Heights

Ray Anderson scored two early touchdowns and the Cardinals coasted to a 42-6 win Saturday.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – The Cardinal Mooney football team started the 2016 season with a 42-6 win over Cleveland Heights Saturday at Stambaugh Stadium.

The Cardinals struck with two touchdowns from senior Ray Anderson. Later in the 2nd quarter, Chris Gruber ripped off a 55 yard touchdown run of his own to make it a 22-6 game.

The defense stood tall and Mooney coasted to their first win of the season. The Cardinals play Boardman next Friday at Stambaugh Stadium.
