Creedance Clearwater Revival….John Fogerty’s friend, Norvel Credance and a brand a bear called Clearwater that disappeared and then was revived.
John Denver…John Henry Deutschendorf likes the Rocky Mountains.
The Four Seasons….started as the Varietones..they auditioned in a bowling alley called the Four Seasons and liked the name.
Three Dog Night…Australian slang…the aboriginie custom of curling up with three dogs or dingos on a very cold night.
Walk the Moon…named after a song, Walking on the Moon, by The Police…in that group, drummer Stewart Copeland’s father was in the CIA.
Duran Duran…..a character in a very old Jane Fonda movie, Barbarella.
Lynyrd Skynyrd…Robert E. Lee High school gym coach Leonard Skinner..who punished the founding members of the group for violating the school dress code.
