Columbiana, OH (WYTV) – Crestview’s Jordan Murphy is a proven leader on and off the football field. He’s a four year starter at defensive end with a great work ethic in the classroom as well.
“I play whistle to whistle,” said Murphy. “I’m always after the ball whether it’s 30, 40 yards down the field. I’m always going to be the one chasing after it. Even off the field, I’m working hard, I’m putting in extra work. I’m always doing that type of thing.”
Jordan is an All-Conference and All-Ohio defensive end for the Rebels. He’s a 4 year starter with a motor that won’t stop. He’s a senior captain now, for a team with high expectations.
“We got to have level heads, we got to stay on that goal and chase it,” said Murphy. “We gotta do what Rebels do. Practice hard and play hard.”
Jordan plays hard, but he also works hard. He ranks 10th in his class with a 3.8 GPA.
“To be a student-athlete, you go above and beyond just being a student. Not only are you doing all the hard work in school and you’re learning and taking hard tests but you’re also leading your classmates as an athlete as well.”
Jordan is already committed to play football for Bowling Green next year but for now, will enjoy his time as a Rebel.
“This is my last year in high school so I got to make the best of it and I got to remember it and take it in to the fullest.”
