CORTLAND, Ohio (WYTV) – People at Mosquito Lake were soaking up the nice weather Friday on the last weekend of summer.
“I think it’s just the end of the season and everybody’s last time to come out to the lake before it gets real hectic with school and work,” said Sue Deback, of Kinsman.
For many, Labor Day weekend is spent on the water.
“It’s just a fun thing to do all the time. I mean, I do it all the time,” said Michael Cicozi, a Struthers student.
Rich Deitsch, of Vienna, says everyone is coming to Mosquito Lake to relax and unwind.
“It’s just the fun of catching the fish and even if they ain’t biting, you’re still having fun catching them,” Cicozi said.
Deback thinks it’s the perfect way to round out the summer.
“The summer’s been so hot, and now it’s cooling off and it’s getting nice,” she said.
She hopes to spend time outside before the cold weather hits.
Cicozi, who doesn’t have school on Monday, says he’ll probably be back on the lake again.
Weather in the Valley is expected to be fantastic throughout the holiday weekend.
