NORTH LIMA, Ohio (WYTV) – The South Range Raiders, fresh off of low-scoring victory over McDonald in week one, took on the high-powered offense of Western Reserve in week two. The Raiders were able to ramp up their offense to match the Blue Devil pace, and pull out a 42-22 victory.
Reserve’s Jack Cappabianca opened up the scoring, running in a long touchdown to give the Blue Devils an 8-0 lead with just over 4 minutes remaining in the first quarter.

Just a minute later, Peyton Remish scored from 57 yards away to give the Raiders their first lead, 8-7.
Remish then scored again with 9 minutes remaining in the second quarter, extending the lead to 14-8.
The Raider defense forced a Reserve punt on the following possession, and Mathias Combs returned it to the house, giving South Range a 21-8 lead with 7 minutes to go in the half.
QB Seth Morrow joined the party with just over three minutes left, running in a touchdown to give the Raiders a 28-8 lead going into halftime.
South Range extended their lead in the second half to 35-8 with a touchdown from Nathan Daniszewski.
Western Reserve (0-2) will travel to Steubenville Catholic Central in week three. South Range (2-0) will travel to Akron Manchester.
