YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – For some people who have been incarcerated, starting a new life can be difficult.

But helping them is what Roy Austin had in mind when he started the non-profit organization “Starting Over Again (A Chance to Do Better).”

The reentry program helps bring a fresh outlook to all the possibilities returning citizens have, by promoting economic opportunities through job training, mentoring, transitional and permanent housing and business ownership.

Saturday, Austin paired with a local restaurant, KB’s Doghouse, to give away free hot dogs and water to reach out to those in need of that help.

“People get lost and sometime they can’t find their way, and just to have a hope and make a difference it does something for people,” Austin said.

They gave away over 240 hot dogs and signed several people up for the Starting Over Again program.
