Flu shot clinics scheduled throughout Mahoning County

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – With cooler temperatures just around the corner, the Mahoning County District Board of Health is helping residents get ready for flu season with several upcoming flu shot clinics.

Everyone over six months old should get a flu shot each year, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations.

  • Sept. 28: Canfield United Methodist Church, 2 – 7 p.m.
  • Oct. 5: Goshen Township Administration Building, 1 – 3:30 p.m.
  • Oct. 6: Mahoning County District Board of Health, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Oct. 14: Poland Township Administration Building, 12 – 6 p.m.
  • Oct. 17: Boardman Township Building, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Oct. 19: Struthers Mauthe Park, 1 – 5 p.m.
  • Oct. 21: Berlin Township Building, 9 – 11:30 a.m.
  • Oct. 21: Lake Milton Fire Station, 12 – 2 p.m.
  • Oct. 26: Green Township Administration Building, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • Nov. 2: Beaver Township Administration Building, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

The nasal spray will not be available this year.

No appointment is necessary to get a flu shot, and most private insurances are accepted.

To get a shot, bring insurance cards, a driver’s license and Medicaid or Medicare cards.
