Howland roars past Canfield

Howland players celebrate after a David Schwartz goal, the Tigers topped Canfield 7-1 Tuesday night.

CANFIELD, OH (WYTV)-The Howland boys soccer team grabbed their 5th win of the season and remained undefeated Tuesday night going on the road and topping Canfield 7-1.

The Tigers opened the scoring early on after being awarded a free kick from about 20 yards from goal. Senior David Schwartz stood over the kick and curled it off the crossbar, off the Canfield goalkeeper and in the back of the net. Schwartz had himself a night, recording four goals on the evening.

Howland would double their lead later in the half after a great pass sprung fellow senior Christopher Tvaroch who slotted one in the back of the net to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead.

Christian Nogay and Giuseppe Musumeci both added a goal for the Tigers in the winning effort.

The win moves Howland to 5-0-1 overall, 4-0 in the AAC Red Division, while Canfield drops to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the AAC Red Division.
