JFK defense continues strong start, defeats Girard

JFK is on a collision course with Crestview in week four

GIRARD, Ohio (WYTV) – The Warren JFK Eagles move to 3-0 on the season despite giving up their first touchdown on defense in 2016, winning 28-7 over Girard Friday night.

Ross Nocera scored from 11 yards out to give the Eagles a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.

That score was matched in the next frame when Girard’s Mark Waid found Kenny Walters wide open for a 14 yard touchdown to tie the game at 7-7.

JFK would take the lead for good later in the second quarter when Gregory Valent tossed it up to Hyland Burton for a touchdown to give the Eagles a 14-7 advantage.

Warren JFK will visit Crestview in week four. Girard will visit Champion.
