Suspect pleads guilty to charge in Braceville traffic stop

WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – A man arrested during a traffic stop in Braceville last year pleaded guilty to a forgery charge.

The plea was part of a deal with prosecutors.

Abu was arrested in November with four other men after police reported finding fake credit cards and a machine to make them in the car.

The men were born in Somalia and are American citizens living in the Columbus area.

Abu was initially charged with forgery, receiving stolen property, complicity to identity fraud and possessing criminal tools.

Abu is awaiting a pre-sentencing investigation before he is sentenced.

The other men, Zakaria Warsame and Jibril Abdiselam, are awaiting sentencing; and Mohamed Mahamoud and Mohammeddeq Hassan will both have a pretrial on September 28.
