Campbell man sentenced to jail on child porn charges

Gruber was initially charged with 50 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, but he pleaded guilty to 10 counts

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A Campbell man was sentenced to eight years in prison on Friday for a child pornography-related conviction.

Jason Gruber appeared in Mahoning County Court Judge Shirley Christian’s courtroom on Friday.

He was arrested in February following a child pornography investigation led by the Ohio Attorney General’s Crimes Against Children Unit and the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators seized several electronics from his Woodland Avenue home during the search.

He was initially charged with 50 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, but he pleaded guilty to 10 counts and the other 40 were dismissed, according to court records.
