POLAND, OH (WYTV) – In a battle of 2-1 teams, visiting Grand Valley was able to have their way with Valley Christian on Saturday night, topping the Eagles 34-0.

The Mustangs didn’t waste much time on offense, scoring from 2-yards out on their opening drive to take a 7-0 lead.

Momentum seemed to swing on Grand Valley’s second drive as quarterback Michael McGovern tossed an interception to Valley Christian’s Ja’Qwon Dow that put the Eagles into Mustangs territory.

VC would be forced to punt however, which the Mustangs blocked, which set up great field position for the visitors.

The ensuing play took just one play, as Eduardo Rodriguez took a jet sweep to the outside and scored from 24-yards out.

The game was delayed due to weather at halftime but the two teams were able to complete the game in its entirety.

Valley Christian falls to 2-2 as Grand Valley improves to 3-1.
