Massillon races past Ursuline in matinee affair

Ursuline drops to 2-2 overall on the season.

WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – Massillon blanked Ursuline 30-0 Saturday afternoon at Mollenkopf Stadium in Warren.

The Tigers got on the board in the second quarter when Seth Blankenship connected with Austin Jasinski on a 66-yard touchdown pass to give the Tigers the lead for good.

Nate Gregg opened the scoring in the second half, booting a 28-yard field goal to increase the Tiger lead to 10-0.

Later in the third quarter, Blankenship found Marcus Perrin on a 37-yard touchdown strike.  The extra point was no-good, but the lead increased to 16-0 for Massillon.

Blankenship later hit Austin Kuscher on a 12-yard touchdown passes to finish the scoring in the third quarter, with the Tigers holding a 23-0 advantage.

Massillon added the exclamation point when Blankenship found Austin Jasinski, who made a one-handed grab for the final score of the day.

Blankenship completed 15-23 passes for 224 yards and four touchdowns on the day.

Jasinski finished the day with firve receptions for 114 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Jamir Thomas led the Tigers on the ground with 66 yards on 12 carries.

Ursuline was led on the ground by Joe Floyd who amassed 49 yards ono 17 attempts.  He also caught two passes for 39 yards.  Irish Quarterback Jared Fabry completed 8-14 passes for 81 yards in the loss.

Ursuline drops to 2-2 overall on the season.  The Irish will visit Warren Harding in week five.

Massillon improves to 2-2.  The Tigers will host Toledo Bowsher in week five.
