NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – A Trumbull County pastor plans to travel 200 miles on a bike ride across the Valley, visiting 20 different cities and townships.

Pleasant Valley Church Pastor Don Sparman started the ride in Sharon, Pennsylvania Monday morning and plans to travel throughout Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties.

Monday, he made a stop in Liberty Township, praying at the Administration Building and leaving the Liberty Police Department a package filled with blessings.

Sparman said he is riding to encourage people to give Jesus a chance, especially since so many have become overpowered by the heroin epidemic.

“We’re watching people go through these things, and we just know if they knew that there’s a God who loves them, and there’s an answer for them through faith and Jesus, that their lives could be radically different than they are,” he said.

Sparman is making stops in Girard and Youngstown on Tuesday.
