In the first quarter, the Hornets opened the scoring on a Chuck Carr 11 yard touchdown run to make it 7-0 Hickory.

Carr continued his tough running later in the half, scoring from 13 yards out.

The Hornets offense was too much for a surprising Westinghouse program that has not had a winning season in 15 years, topping them 38-22.

Hickory (5-0) will visit Lakeview, PA in week six.
