Fitch runs past East, moves to 3-2

Randy Smith scored two touchdowns to help the Falcons win, 38-6 Saturday

Youngstown, OH (WYTV) – The Austintown Fitch football team ran out to an early lead and defeated Youngstown East, 38-6 Saturday at Rayen Stadium.

The Falcons needed just two offensive plays to get on the board. Nate Fowler hit J.C. Mikovich for a 55 yard touchdown, giving Fitch a 7-0 lead early.

The Panthers came right back with a 58 yard touchdown run by Leon Bell to make it a 7-6 game. But it was all Fitch from there, adding a couple touchdowns from Randy Smith to break things open.

After a big lead in the second half, running clock was implemented, and Fitch ran away with their third win of the season.

Fitch (3-2) travels to Massillon next Friday, while East (1-4) plays at Howland.
