In the first quarter, the Tigers struck first on a 44 yard touchdown pass from junior quarterback Samari Dean to senior running back Tyriq Ellis to make it 6-0.
The Tigers had two opportunities to increase their lead but a blocked field goal and missed field goal try kept the score at 6-0.
A big play on special teams looked to open things up for the Tigers when their punt return team broke a 75 yard touchdown return, but a roughing the kicker penalty would negate the score and bring the ball back.
With the clock winding down in the half, the Tigers drove the ball within striking distance. With 1.1 seconds remaining on the clock, Howland elected to go for six instead of attempting another field goal. On the final play of the half, Dean found senior receiver Stephen Baugh who made a great falling catch in the endzone to increase the Tiger lead to 13-0.
Another scoring drive by the Tigers capped the score at 20-0.
Hubbard (4-1) will host Niles in week six. Howland (3-2) will host East.
