YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Kababs, Rice, Veggies and more.

That was only some of the food being served at the Lebanese Festival at St. Maron’s Church in Youngstown on Sunday.

And it was all homemade.

Doors opened at noon following morning mass, but people were lining up to get food way before then.

Kids got in on the fun too with face painting and balloon animals.

Event organizers said that this festival is about helping out the church and sharing Lebanese culture with the community — and they think food is one of the best ways to do that.

“Besides making money for the church, we hope that everybody comes and enjoys it and likes our food and comes back again,” said Rose Sahyoun, the event organizer.
