YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – There was a good opportunity for Youngstown State dance students Sunday.
Instructors from out of state visited campus for the 11th annual Dance Festival.
Students chose from a combination of classes like ballet and tap techniques — or yoga for dancers.
For some, this may be the only time they take these classes.
“Some students may never have the opportunity,” said Christine Cobb, YSU dance professor. “We feel it’s important artistically [and] educationally to give them the opportunity at a very reasonable cost.”
This was the first time kids ages 9-12 participated in the festival.
