HOWLAND TWP., Ohio (WYTV) – The Cafaro Company is setting its sights on expanding development by the Eastwood Mall Complex. It plans on turning more than 100 acres of woodlands by Eastwood Field into a mixed use development.
The Cafaro Company is calling the area Enterprise Park at Eastwood, and although nothing has been set in stone, Cafaro Company spokesman Joe Bell said the possibilities are endless.
“It can become anything we want it to be,” he said.
“It’s really conceptual right now. It’s in the beginning stages. A lot of it is finding where the need is and that’s what our real estate leasing department is doing right now.”
Bell said the mixed use development will offer a combination of residential buildings, office space, healthcare and high technology manufacturing opportunities, all with a prime location and easy access to State Routes 46 and 82.
Part of the project would be to expand Mall River Road, taking it from a dead end down toward the mall complex.
“We’re excited for the possibilities that this development could bring, and we look forward to talking to the owners and the developers about their vision what they plan to do for the area and how we can be a part of that,” said Howland Township Trustee Matt Vansuch.
Bell said this project has been several years in the making, and the company is currently studying what would be best suited for the development.
